Sonia Rykiel for H&M coming AW 09-10

Sonia Rykiel has been unveiled as the next designer set to collaborate with H&M. The high street giant, which has a Jimmy Choo collaboration in the pipeline, will release a Rykiel lingerie collection for autumn/winter 2009-10, followed by an iconic knitwear collection for spring/summer 2010.
The knitwear collection, set to hit stores in February, will boast a selection of Rykiel classic knitwear and accessories for women and girls (from 18 months to eight years), and will be available in 1,500 H&M stores worldwide. The lingerie offering will also be stocked in Rykiel's stores worldwide; a first for H&M.
"It is a hallmark of Sonia Rykiel to think of all women because fashion is about a certain spirit more than a question of means," Nathalie Rykiel, president and artistic director the family-owned business said. "This collaboration fits perfectly with our philosophy. The Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection is the ideal way to offer the essence of Rykiel to a great number of women around the world, and a beautiful way to close the year. The knitwear collection is perfect for welcoming a colourful new season."
