Blogger are the new Celebrity - Seating in the front row at the D&G Show
The social Web is probably having the biggest impact on media, music, entertainment and making personal connections, in the fashion sphere, the Internet has made celebrities of Cory Kennedy, Fred Figglehorn, Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist, Yvan Rodic of Facehunter and Perez Hilton, among others. In fact, so much so that Schuman and fellow bloggers Garance DorĂ©, Tommy Ton and Bryan Boy were given front-row seats at the D&G show in Milan on Thursday, complete with desks and laptops for instant transmission, knocking the likes of Neiman Marcus’ Burt Tansky, Saks’ Stephen I. Sadove and other retail heavyweights to the second row.
Gap
Gap co-founder Don Fisher has died aged 81 following a long battle with cancer. Fisher, along with his wife Doris, opened the first Gap store in 1969 stocking jeans and music and - over the next forty years - helmed the company as it became a multi-billion dollar global brand.
"Today we lost a friend, a mentor and a great visionary," Gap chief executive and board chairman Glenn Murphy told Drapers Online. "Don and Doris took a simple idea and turned it into a brand a brand recognised as a cultural icon throughout the world and changed the face of retail forever."
The Gap 1969 initiative, launched this season, honours Fisher's original vision with a pop-up store in Kingly Court stocking limited numbers of classic Gap jeans and limited edition products.
Fisher stepped down as chairman of Gap in 2004 but remained a director and executive of the brand.

I am happy for Shir as she has what it takes to be a model but not for Sam. I am actually rooting for Alvin another finalist but too bad he loses to Sam....I just dun get it why Sam wins.... Maybe to some Sam is gd looking but actually i dun think so.... All the pic he took has only one expression...he tend to have very sleepy eye and there is no live on the face......I think he should watch Antm and learn frm Tyra how to smile with the eyes.... :p... In the final challenge Sam has two shoot and it was not that gd.The eyes were sleepy and very flat on the face expression. There is no live on the face during the runway..... During an interview, he say he will want to model in overseas.. But Hey Sam before you do so.....make sure u work on your face first and make yrself a name here..... ........ Darling is not easy to make it in overseas... Cause there is lots of hot and better looking guys there .........So dun think too much and dream......Yr dream to become model had just started....Work hard............Count yrself lucky to win tis competition....I m not trying to be bitching or against him... But i just speak what i feel and on my mind....:P:P:P
